speaking of poverty.. have you guys read in e-mail about the essay of a korean about the philippines? he was telling that his country was envious of the philippines coz' our country is naturally rich. (we all know that after the korean war, their country started form scratch again.) but when he visited the philippines, he was really disappointed on what he saw on the streets... street children and all. *sigh* aren't you guys wondering what is the difference of the corruption here and korea? in korea, the money that the politicians corrupted also goes for their country. they make businesses so they can attract foreign investors and their employment rate will increase. while here in the philippines... the money that (some) of our politicians corrupt goes to their acres of lands and mansions. tsssssss.
